"Brand New" Guy Martin '617!' Head gasket bobble hat!
It is with both enormous respect and thanks, that we are proud to celebrate the great Lancaster Bomber with the new '617' Head Gasket Bobble Hat!
Operation Chastise was an attack on German dams carried out on 16–17 May 1943 by Royal Air Force No. 617 Squadron, later called the Dam Busters, using a purpose-built "bouncing bomb" developed by Barnes Wallis.
This hat depicts that mission, with bouncing bomb being dropped by the Lancaster onto the blue water!!
£1 from every hat sold will go to 'Just Jane' Avro Lancaster NX611 fund, based at the Lincs Aviation Heritage Centre - well worth a look if you haven't been!
